The Safe La Crosse concert featuring Rob Gonzalez, April Maclean kicked off the 2007-2008 school year in La Crosse WI. Students from UW-La Crosse, Western Technical College, and Viterbo University came together to help make people aware of the Safe La Crosse program.

“You wouldn’t leave your cellphone behind, why would you leave your friends?”

The Safe La Crosse program was created to encourage the buddy system when making the choice of spending time with your buddies in downtown La Crosse consuming alcohol. The message is strong, and needs to be heard.

Rob Gonzalez (middle) is a very talented musician. I have seen him perform twice now. The first time I didn’t know what to expect, but now every concert is a MUST SEE!

I went to the NACA (National Association for Campus Activities) Northern Plains conference again this year. It was so much better than last year.  I don’t think there was ever a moment where anyone was completely bored. I remember Recycled Percussion stood out as the show stealer last year in most peoples eyes. Here’s the lineup we hope to have perform at Western Tech next year.

Anyhow, I met tons of new people. Networking is really fun and makes the whole experience worthwhile. I hope to get elected for the Public Relations position in Student Government next year. I’ve been nominated for President as well, but I’m more interested in DOING rather than DELEGATING.
