The NACA (National Association for Campus Activities) Regional Conference was held in Cedar Rapids Iowa this year. This was my first time attending an event like this. I traveled with the Executive Board of Student Government. My fellow Vis-Commies told me to stay away from Student Government for whatever reason. I think they are very fun and enthusiastic people (especially when we were all tired lol).

We got to see a ton of showcases and educational lectures. It seemed like a neverending concert. Some of the bands that performed were Thornbird, and Recycled Percussion. Both of them were my top picks as best performance. Recycled Percussion is a MUST see! Each band had a way of standing out. It was fun to watch! They all put on an awesome show!

We also got to laugh along with some comedians. It was the daily comic relief we all needed. Dave Coulier from Full House and America’s Funniest People was there. I saw him standing at his booth, and didn’t recognize him at first. It’s been quite awhile.

I could go on and on about the NACA Conference, but there’s so much to tell. I’d like to thank Shelley and everyone for having me along. It looks like I’ll be involved more with Student Government next year.
