In about 32 hours I’m moving into my dorm. There’s still a lot going on even though I left Sam’s Club last week. I’ve been learning how to use my new powerbook. It’s different, but I like it better than my loaded desktop PC.

I’m ditching my cellphone in order to cut back on expenses. If anyone is interested in buying a Nokia 7610, feel free to email me or contact me on Gizmo.

I’ve decided to use Skype, Gizmo, or Google Talk as a way to keep in touch with people. For an awesome low rate, I can have a number that friends & family with mobile or land line phones can call me at. I decided to go with Gizmo. They’re newer than Skype, but a few of the basic features and the SIP number totally drew me in.

On the blogging side of things. Matt told me about Flickr the other day. It’s a photo organizer/moblogging service. One perk about Flickr over Textamerica, is you can post pictures to your actual blog (Wordpress,Typepad, Movable Type etc.) from your camera phone. I’m not sure how far I’m going to get into that because I won’t have a cell phone.

One more thing before I crash. Amber and Mike mentioned a neat blogging tool on a recent episode of commandN. It’s called Ecto, which made me think of the old Ghostbusters cartoon. It’s the best blogging tool I’ve ever used. It isn’t free unfortunately, but I think it’s worth it.

This is probably my last entry for a bit. After I move, I won’t have a cell phone, internet, or a car. I’ll find a way around all that I’m sure.
