Last night I watched Anywhere But Here. It’s another great Natalie Portman movie. The story is about a mother and daughter working through life together.
Susan Sarandon plays Adele August, the ambitious mom who wants to get the most out of life. Her daughter, Ann August, has no interest in her mother’s ambition. Ann accepts the small town life in Bay City, WI. Her mother sees things otherwise. They drive to Beverly Hills, CA where the rest of the movie takes place. It’s really a great mother and daughter story.
